It all started with the humble bait bag. Known to most of us in Maine as an unassuming vessel for stinky dead fish, Alaina Harris saw its potential for something more.
A lifelong seamstress with a design background, Harris loved the textures and colors of the bait bags and went on the hunt for more inspiration at a local marine store.
Born and raised in Maine Harris says that her beautiful surroundings fed her creative inspiration. Taking the concept of sustainability matched with a little creativity she created a utilitarian line of clutches that are fashion forward for any modern girl, yet completely durable and practical for everyday living. These clutches were inspired by a lobsterman’s bait bag and are constructed from the same marine-grade material. From screen printing to sewing, she believes in creating a quality handmade product which is why each bag is madr by hand. This process ensures that each clutch is unique and no two are exactly alike.
Stop by her booth at the Expo and see her line of beautiful handmade accessories: clutches, wallets, wristlets, carryalls, wine totes and keychains
